Job description
LuxService is seeking a CloudOps Engineer fluent in English and French, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Luxembourg, Luxembourg. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.
Key responsibilities
- Design and develop AWS CloudFormation templates for web applications based on proposed architecture building blocks, ensuring resilience, compliance, and security.
- Implement and maintain cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and GitLab CI / Flux CD pipelines, adhering to established change management processes.
- Design and maintain Amazon CloudWatch dashboards to enhance operational visibility and proactive monitoring.
- Ensure strict adherence to cloud security best practices and regulatory compliance standards.
- Provide Level 3 operational support, diagnosing and resolving complex issues related to cloud infrastructure, automation, and application deployments.
- Administer and maintain AWS environments using automation frameworks to ensure scalability, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
- Manage and optimize AWS cloud components (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, etc.) for efficient and secure application hosting.
- Administer and maintain GitLab and Gitaly instances, ensuring reliability, performance, scalability, security, and continuous evolution.
- Manage GitLab central runner solutions to optimize CI/CD workflows and build efficiency.
- Provide application hosting solutions and deploy new features to drive quality, efficiency, and standardization improvements across environments.
- Define and implement standardized deployment and release processes to ensure consistency, reliability, and compliance across environments.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for web applications and static content using GitLab CI / GitLab Runner and Fluxcd for Kubernetes deployments.
- Integrate DevSecOps practices into CD workflows, including QA testing, DAST, and security scanning, to enforce secure and high-quality deployments.
- Oversaw application environment management, ensuring seamless and automated deployments through CI/CD pipelines.
- Troubleshot and resolve complex build and deployment issues, minimizing downtime and improving system stability.
Required skills and competence
- 7 years of hands-on experience in cloud operations, DevOps, and infrastructure management.
- Very good knowledge of English and French.
- Certifications: AWS SysOps Administrator, ITIL Foundation
- Designed, implemented, and maintained AWS environments using CloudFormation, TerraForm, and automation frameworks.
- Managed GitLab and Gitaly instances, including central runners, ensuring reliability, performance, and security.
- Developed and maintained CI/CD pipelines for web applications and static content using GitLab CI, GitLab Runner, and Fluxcd.
- Deployed and managed Kubernetes applications (EKS) with integrated DevSecOps practices (QA testing, DAST, etc.).
- Partnered with development and operations teams to improve performance, reliability, and delivery efficiency.
- Handled operational service requests, incident management, and application environment management.
